“We (two couples) had a wonderful stay at the charming craftsman’s cottage for our first visit to the Douglas/Saugatuck area (we knew very little about this great community before our visit and will definitely be coming back!). Loved the location on a quiet, tree-lined street – great for morning walks along the lakeshore. We appreciated the thoughtful and artful details throughout the cottage and the multiple outdoor seating areas with a fire-pit / grill. In addition to the more heavily trafficked downtown Saugatuck (Uncommon Coffee Roasters and Grow for breakfast were favorites), we enjoyed the charms of downtown Douglas – its galleries, Kismet bakery, Wild Dog Grille (Austin Cheesesteak!), Everyday People Cafe (Bloody Mary bar), and Borrowed Time (wine cafe with live outdoor music). ”
