Our stay at this cottage was beautiful. The views and natural wonder all around us was breathtaking. The top floor with the two small bedrooms was my favorite part of the interior of the house.

Beyond that, the windows in the living room are insanely gorgeous. The vaulted ceilings made me feel like I was staying somewhere abroad — like, Scotland or England. The cottage soaks up natural light so well.

My only critique about the cottage is that it felt a little more lived in than I would have expected for a place that just opened up for public rental. For instance, the windows could have used a good washing and the carpet seemed in slight need of a shampoo. None of these things were major issues for us. This cottage is unlike anything I’ve seen. It’s authentically rustic and in spite of the few flaws in presentation that I mentioned above, I’d stay there again in a heartbeat. It almost felt like a living breathing thing — a place alive with character, and something you might find in a fairytale.
